Warp is focused on the sounds of guitar harmonics. The two guitars are tuned differently, such that every pitch class is available as a natural harmonic and can be heard ringing and resonating with any other. The piece moves through different textures and levels of density of material as the sonic possibilities are investigated, while the phrase structure and sectional form largely remain regular. Pitches are derived from a 12-note row.

The fifth harmonic, which is 14 cents flat relative to equal temperament, is emphasized, especially at cadences, often combined with ‘in tune’ versions of the same pitch. The title of the piece refers to the ‘bending’ of pitches at these points and to the acoustic resonances produced when pitches that are only slightly detuned are combined.

La composition Warp se concentre sur les sons des harmoniques à la guitare classique. Les deux guitares sont accordées différemment, de sorte que chaque classe de hauteur est disponible comme harmonique naturelle et qu'on peut l'entendre sonner et résonner avec les autres. La pièce se déplace à travers de différentes textures et niveaux de densité de matériau à mesure que les possibilités sonores sont explorées, tandis que les phrases et les sections restent en grande partie régulières.
